Native Sons has become known for its relaxed atmosphere,excellent instructors, first class boats, spotless safety record and well maintained equipment.

Andrea Mullen grew up in former East Germany and after the wall broke down took the chance to discover the world. She worked in the Dominican Republic, Bonaire and arrived in Roatan in 2005 and has been working for us since then. She has been an instructor since 2002.

Jack Lewis is from the UK and started diving with his family in Turkey at the age of 14 and was quite miffed that he had to wait until 18 to become a divemaster. After 4 long years he did his DM in the Canary Islands before working in Thailand, Turkey and Colombia. He became an instructor at the beginning of 2007 and has worked for Native Sons since then.

Michelle Tibbets is from California and began diving in 1997. She has dived in Australia, Mexico, Belize, Florida and California. She did her divemaster course with Native Sons at the beginning of 2007, worked as a DM for us and then became an instructor later that year.

Mark Flanagan began diving in a lake in Texas in 2003 before a round-the-world diving trip including South Africa, Thailand, Australia and Hawaii. He arrived in Roatan with his wife in November 2005 for a “ 6 week vacation” and has yet to leave. He came to work for Native Sons at the start of 2006, first as a divemaster and later as an instructor.

Jose Lagos is our principal boat captain and has worked as a captain for 22 years. He is from Sandy Bay and as a native captain, Jose really knows the local waters.

Nancy Rodriguez is the one who will sign you up, keep a tag of your dives and manage your dive account. She is from West End, Roatan and has worked at Native Sons since 2002.

Jimmy Ronaldo is from Flower’s Bay, Roatan. Jimmy is in charge of filling tanks, driving the boat, working the office, manning the shop and carrying your equipment down to the boat.
